The Cutty Park
Managed by: Bervie Play Parks Committee
Project Description
This project by Bervie Play Parks Committee aims to create a park to provide state of the art, inclusive and accessible facilities within easy walking distance of the residents of Inverbervie. This project will regenerate a neglected green space and will promote health and wellbeing.
The Bervie Play Parks Committee was set up with the aim of raising money to improve and expand upon the existing, limited playground facilities in Inverbervie. Their strategy has been to involve the whole community in fundraising activities so that everyone feels they have a stake in the completed project. The items and layout for the new playpark facilities have been specifically chosen by the community.
The project has demonstrated strong community engagement by identifying the need for this project; the town is increasing in size and now has more children who require additional facilities. The project will deliver a much welcomed modern play park which will become a focal point in the community for young children and families.
