St Ternan's Church Muchalls Enhancement

Managed by:

St Ternan's Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC) Muchalls

Project Description

To expand facilities in St Ternan’s, a small rural church in north Kincardine, by creating a new 30 person meeting room and installing kitchen and toilet facilities.  The improved facilities will enable musical events and recreational/educational classes to be held in the building, serving the needs of local interest groups.  There is evidence of support from a wide range of community participants and the new facility will be a useful resource for a number of user groups from the widely spread rural community.

Quote from Participating Organisation

George Masson, St Ternan’s Planning & Premises Group:

“St Ternan’s are delighted to have secured the 50% LEADER grant. This means the congregation are well on the way to achieving their goal of transforming St Ternan’s into a worship and community hub in the 21st Century by the building of an extension to include toilets, kitchens, and a meeting room. The LEADER grant allows us to be in a position to advise other grant bodies to whom we have applied to encourage them to grant the funding we need which together with St Ternan’s own contribution will allow us to complete the project.”
