The Revitalisation & Enhancement of Oldmeldrum Pleasure Park

Managed by:

Meldrum Play

Project Description

Phase 1 of the project is to install eight new items of static play equipment in the park to expand and improve facilities for under 12's.  Phase 2 will be to ensure that the green space within the park area is fully utilised for community led activities, ensuring that the park becomes a community asset.  As well as benefiting the local community, the improvements will attract visitors from surrounding areas which will benefit the local economy.  It is proposed that a "Friends of the Park" group will be established to develop the green space and to identify and organise activities to bring the community together.

Securing the LEADER funding is a significant step for Meldrum Play as it will enable the revitalisation of the Meldrum Pleasure Park.  This will bring benefits to all the park users and help to develop the park as a valuable community asset.
