Transitional & Parental/Carer Engagement Development Programme & Extension of Existing Service Delivery

Managed by:

Aberdeenshire Life Education Centre

Project Description

The project aims to increase the resources for delivery of the Aberdeenshire Life Education Centre (ALEC) extra-curricular health and well being programmes to schools throughout Aberdeenshire.  The provision of an additional mobile classroom and an additional staff member will enable the programme to be delivered to all Aberdeenshire primary schools, and increase the target audience to include S1 and S2 pupils.

Quote from Participating Organisation

Steve Mackison, Chairman of Aberdeenshire Life Education Centre (ALEC)

“The award of this substantial LEADER grant will enable Aberdeenshire Life Education Centre’s (ALEC) programme of holistic health and well-being education to be delivered to nursery and primary school children in Aberdeenshire on an annual basis.  The LEADER award will also contribute to the resources needed to develop and deliver programmes to engage parents, and S1 and S2 pupils, helping to provide a cohesive and progressive approach to health and well-being education.”
