Duff House Vinery Project
Managed by:
North East Scotland Preservation Trust
Project Description
The project is the first phase of a project to refurbish the vinery and adjacent potting sheds at Duff House, Banff. Presently in a state of disrepair, the building is a Victorian glass house in the policies of Duff House which overlooks the main road between Banff and Macduff.
The necessary consents will be applied for, detailed plans and architectural drawings will be prepared, and tenders will be sent out for building work. The eventual aim of the project is for Banff & Macduff Community Trust to use the buildings as a centre for horticultural training of local groups and individuals.

The Vinery is a wonderful Category B listed building situated in the former walled garden of Duff House. In partnership with the Banff and Macduff Community Trust the North East Scotland Preservation Trust is trying to raise the funds necessary to carry out a major restoration of the building. The provision of a grant from Aberdeenshire LEADER will make it far easier to secure support from other funders.
